Where it works

Put the code where customers already pause

Counter

At the till or reception

A small sign next to the card reader or on the front desk catches people while they wait for a receipt.

Table

On tables and in rooms

Restaurants, cafes, clinics and hotels get the most scans from a card customers see while sitting down.

Hand-off

On receipts and invoices

Print the code on paper receipts, delivery notes and invoices, or on the card you hand over with a finished job.

Follow-up

In the thank-you email

On a screen a link beats a code. Use the direct link from the tool above in emails and texts, and keep the QR code for print.

Print it so it scans

  • Size: at least 2 cm (0.8 inch) square for something held in the hand, larger for a wall or window that people scan from a step away.
  • Contrast: dark code on a light background, with a clear white border around it.
  • Test it: scan the printed proof with two different phones before you print a batch.
  • Say what it does: "Scan to review us on Google" gets more scans than a bare code.

Stay inside Google's rules

  • Show it to everyone. Google's policy does not allow asking only happy customers.
  • No rewards. Discounts, freebies or entries into a draw in exchange for a review break the policy.
  • No reviews on site. Google does not allow requiring customers to post a review on your premises, so invite them to scan, never insist.

After the scan

A code gets the reviews you happen to catch. Requests get the rest.

Reviewshake emails or texts every customer after their visit with one reminder, drafts replies to every review on Google, Facebook and 100+ other sites, and shows the rating climbing by location.

Questions

Google review QR codes, answered

How do I make a QR code for Google reviews?

Paste your Google review link, Place ID or Google Maps address into the generator above. It builds the link that opens the review box and turns it into a QR code you can download as a PNG or print as a card.

Does Google give me a review QR code?

Google lets businesses share a review request link or QR code from the Business Profile. This generator gives you the same link plus a downloadable code, a printable card and an HTML button for your website.

Is the QR code free, and does it expire?

Yes, it is free and it does not expire. The code points straight at your Google review link, not through a redirect we control, so it keeps working whether or not you ever use Reviewshake.

Will the code still work if my business moves or changes name?

Yes, as long as it is the same Google Business Profile. The review link is tied to the profile, not to the address or the name.

Can I use one QR code for several locations?

No. Each location has its own profile and its own review link, so print a separate code for each. Reviewshake keeps every location's link, campaigns and reviews separate under one login.
